Introduction to Stocks

In its 4th semester as a decal, “Introduction to Stocks” has been successful in providing thorough introduction to the stock markets and offering students of all majors and education levels an alternative to the conventional finance class. This DeCal course aims to help students develop the ability and knowledge to make decisions with stock investing. The class will utilize PowerPoint, online articles, exercises as well as incorporate a virtual simulation. By the end of the course, students will not only know how to start investing on their own account, but also more importantly, know how to analyze stocks and the market itself.
Enrollment Info:
Enrollment will be carried out through applications (which will be given out on the first day of class). You MUST be physically present at the first section of the class if you intend on taking this course. Details about the application and submission process will be discussed on that day. CCNs will given out on the 2nd day of class for the final class group.The first day of class will be on the 2nd week of school (1-30-2008). Locations will be finalized in the next couple of days.

Section 2 will meet in 175 Barrows for one more week (2/13). Afterwards we we will permanantly move to 20 Barrows.
