Chamber Music for Fun

Spring 2008 - Music 98/198 - Units: 2

This course offers a decal alternative for students wishing to continue their musical endeavors in Berkeley. Students are placed into chamber music ensembles, size usually varying from duet to quintet. Weekly rehearsal schedule is determined at the convenience of each group's members. Each group will prepare an approx. 15min worth of repertoire for a showcase performance at the end of the semester. We will try to provide coaching/masterclasses to aid the students.

Mandatory 1st General Meeting on Monday Jan 28, meeting begins at 7:10 in 125 Morrison. Come sign up for auditions!

Auditions will take place on: Th Jan 31, 6-9PM; Fr Feb 1, 5-8PM; Mon Feb 4, 6-9PM

If you absolutely can't make it to the meeting, email us at berkeleychambermusic@gmail.com and we will try to audition you, but students who attend the meeting will get first pick on audition time slots.  

Note: Auditions are required for acceptance and placement. Prepare about 5-10min of any music which you feel will suitably demonstrate your abilityCpreferably showcasing contrasting dynamics and tones.
