Whether you are a seasoned auditioner who would just like a little more practice, or new to the Acting world and need to get your resume in order, Audition Techniques can help you become more comfortable in approaching auditions. This class will explore practical audition experience and career planning including practicing skills focusing on monologue selection and performance, cold readings, movement/dance calls, warm-ups and basic audition etiquette and protocol. Since monologues are the most common way actors interact with possible employers, talent representatives, and casting offices, we will spend a good portion of our time working on them. We will also hold "mock" auditions and feedback sessions during various times throughout the semester.

Enrollment Info:

Wednesdays, 4-5:30pm, 413 Zellerbach.
Please attend the first day of class, January 23rd, or contact Siobhan if you are interested.

Priority will be given to those intending to pursue acting as a career, then to juniors and seniors, and then to TDPS majors.
